Another year has come and gone and it’s time once again for the year-end rituals that signal a new cycle of life. Reindeer have arrived and L.A. Zoo Lights is in full swing, with an even grander display to illuminate your holidays. And as you and your family ring out the old and ring in the new, I want to thank you for your support of this institution. The strength of our membership and the generosity of our donors make it possible for GLAZA to support the Zoo in so many ways.

We not only provide funding for vital conservation projects locally and abroad, but also make new animal acquisitions possible. Thanks to donors, we are able to help underwrite the cost of professional development opportunities that ensure our animal care staff remain in the vanguard of animal welfare. Fieldwork, conferences, and workshops also provide L.A. Zoo staff a chance to reach out beyond Griffith Park and Los Angeles and share the wealth of experience and knowledge they possess with conservation organizations around the world.

As the New Year looms closer, please consider making a tax-deductible gift to our year-end appeal that tells the story about the plight of jaguars and the role that the Los Angeles Zoo is taking in their conservation.
