Let your imagination run wild during Boo at the L.A. Zoo, where you'll find spooktacular seasonal fun October 1 through 27. Whether you want to get creative with some creature crafts, meet some cool critters, or enjoy live shows, special animal feedings, and themed photo ops, the Los Angeles Zoo is your Halloween haven. Costumes are encouraged!

Daily activities include…

Spooky Stroll, where you'll discover Halloween games, a mini pumpkin patch, frightfully Boo-tiful photo ops, and more. Visit the Extinct Animal Graveyard to honor dearly departed species and learn how you can help save at-risk wildlife today.

Find your way through the Mystery Maze twisty hay-bale path and try to avoid dead ends!

At the Boo Bird Show, witness the fascinating behaviors of some of nature's most mysterious and misunderstood flying fauna—owls and vultures—at a special Halloween edition of our popular World of Birds Show at 12 p.m. and 2:30 p.m. every day except Tuesday. (Schedule subject to change due to weather.)

At Animals & Boo stations, you'll get up close to cool critters that creep and crawl-so close, in fact, you may even get to touch them! Presentations at 10:45 a.m. and 11:45 a.m., with an additional show at 12:45 p.m. on weekend days.

In the LAIR, you'll come face-to-face with rare snakes, poisonous frogs, and venomous lizards. No decorations required for this sssspine-tingling excursion! Open 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Embark on the Wild, Weird, and Wonderful Tour of the Zoo and you'll discover wacky, eerie, or funny facts about some of your favorite animals and some that might be new to you.

Weekend Adventures include…

At Swazzle's Monster Menagerie Puppet Show you can help a lonely mad scientist create the ultimate trick-or-treating buddy by combining animal superpowers. Performances in Adventure Theater at 11:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m.

During the Spooktacular Science Show, you'll discover bubbling potions, a hovercraft-powered ghost, and more fun surprises in a mad scientist's bustling lab. Performances in Adventure Theater at 3 p.m.

Step inside the Green-Screen Photo Booth and snap a picture of yourself among some of our most Halloween-y critters.

Bring a toilet paper roll from home to create your own adorable bat at the Creature Craft activity! (Toilet paper roll suggested, not required, for participation.)

Watch as our animal residents enjoy seasonal goodies during Fearsome Feedings & Creature Treats! See website for schedule. Warning: Includes carcass feedings. Parental discretion is advised.

Trick-or-treating takes place on October 19, 20, 26, and 27 only, with treats and bags courtesy of 99 Cents Only Stores. Available while supplies last.
