From the amazing outpouring of generosity for our spring fundraising campaign and the Virtual Beastly Ball to day-to-day emails, tweets, and Instagram posts, I’ve been overwhelmed by the passion of Angelenos — and particularly our members — for the Los Angeles Zoo.
This year’s virtual celebration of one of our favorite animal holidays — International Vulture Awareness Day — is part of two full weekends of online presentations and activities to mark California Biodiversity Day.
What’s new? Well, there have been California condor sightings in Sequoia, we released critically endangered froglets and tadpoles into the wild, and we’re celebrating a bevy of baby births and hatchings. We’re also remembering beloved African lions Hubert and Kalisa.
